Here may be the causes:

Many factors can contribute to eye irritation when blinking:-

1) You could have dry eyes. 

Dry eye that occurs when tears are not able to provide adequate moisture to the eye.

2) You may have conjunctivitis (also called pink eye). 

Inflammation or infection of the outer membrane of the eyeball and the inner eyelid.

3) You might have something  beneath your eyelid. 

Having something inside your eye. Any foreign particles .

4) You may have Stye

A stye is an inflammation of the eyelid associated with a small collection of pus. 

5) You may have Glaucoma.

A group of Eye conditions that can cause blindness.

6) You may have Blepharitis. 

An inflammation of the eylid that affects the eye lashes or tear production.
